Dr. Harikrishnan earned his Medical Degree from Madras Medical College in India. He completed his Residency at All India Institute of Medical Sciences. From there, he went on to finish his Fellowship at New York Medical College at Westchester Medical Center. He has spent the majority of his career researching Cardiovascular Disease Epidemiology and Outcomes.

Some of his clinical interests include heart disease in cancer patients and survivors, Coronary Artery Disease, Valvular Heart Disease, Ischemic and Non-ischemic Cardiomyopathy, Pulmonary Embolism, Preventative Cardiology, Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiac Imaging.
