- Job Description
The Infection Preventionist is responsible for coordinating all activities of the infection prevention and control program that meets the Centers for Medicare Services (CMS) requirements.
- Job Requirements
Current licensure as a registered nurse, licensed practical nurse or baccalaureate degree in medical technology, microbiology, epidemiology, or public health.
Certification in Infection Control by the Certification Board for Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC). DISCLAIMER STATEMENT: Performs other related duties as assigned or requested, to include front desk and clerical responsibilities.
- Experience
- Knowledge of infection control, epidemiology, quality improvement, adult education principles, statistics, and microbiology. Experience in project management. Demonstrated excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
