Job Description

The Medical Surgical Registered Nurse is responsible for assisting in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care of all assigned patients during his/her shift. Patients will range in age from children to geriatrics. Other responsibilities include:

• Effective and efficient management of all supplies, and equipment on the unit.
• Must promote and coordinate teamwork with physicians and personnel
• Diligently work with other departments in relation to patient-care, including the Emergency, Radiology, and Lab departments
• Chart patient progress consistently and thoroughly
• Order and run tests when deemed appropriate

Job types include full-time, part-time and PRN. For PRN, both day shifts and night shifts available - 7:00AM - 7:00PM; Night Shift - 7:00PM to 7:00AM. Must work alternate weekends.

Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse License from State of Georgia
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certification (current)
• Must have basic knowledge and understanding of principles of Nursing
• Excellent communication skills
• Can operate a computer efficiently (Multiple EMR & email systems)
• Ability to be a team player

Experience

Medical Surgical Unit experience preferred but not required.
