Job Description

WCRMC is looking for ER Nurses to work in our hospital emergency rooms to address patient needs, assist doctors during emergency procedures and monitor patient vital signs. among other responsibilities.

An ER Nurse’s duties and responsibilities are focused on giving timely care to their patients. In a fast-paced environment, ER Nurses have the responsibily of: 

  • Triage incoming patients based on level of injury or illness 
  • Immediately stabilize incoming patients 
  • Administer medication as instructed by physicians 
  • Start intravenous lines, and assist with setting broken bones 
  • Assist Physician with perform tracheotomies and intubations 
  • Assist Physician with suturing lacerations 
  • Create and maintain incoming patient records 
  • Work with team of emergency staff to help patients 
  • Help transfer stable patients to other wings 
  • Diagnose and develop treatment plans collaboratively with doctors and staff 
  • Manage multiple cases simultaneously, prioritizing needs continually 
  • Comply with all legal and safety requirements at all times 
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work environment 
  • Work at maximum efficiency without compromising quality of care 
  • Abide by all hospital rules and regulations 
  • Act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure 
  • Monitor coworkers and voice concerns to minimize errors 
  • Provide follow up care instructions to patients and make necessary referrals 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts 
  • Attend all required training and continuing education events 

7 AM & 11 AM Shifts are avaliable.

Job Requirements
  • Current GA license in good standing
  • Basic Life Support certification required; Advanced certification preferred 
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALs) within six months of hire 
  • Able to pass background check and drug screening 
  • Able to pass physical exam, all vaccines up to date 
  • Critical Care experience preferred  
  • Exemplary work history demonstrating a solid working knowledge of patient care 
  • Passion for continued learning and skill development 
  • Able to perform physically demanding tasks and work long shifts 
  • Able to lift 30 lbs. on a regular basis 
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal  Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment 
  • Team-player mentality and a positive attitude 
  • Outstanding bedside manner
