Emergency Services

Washington County Emergency Medical Service is a full ALS service covering Washington County. We have 2 advance life support ambulances 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with a third 12 hour ambulance available on Fridays and Saturdays. Each ambulance is stocked with the latest advance life support equipment. We have twenty-five employees which consist of full time and part time EMTs as well as office clerks.

We cover 8 municipalities with a total population of 10,238. We also provide services to 10,938 people which are outside of the municipalities totaling 21,176 people served.

Washington County has 404.59 miles of dirt roads, 281 miles of county maintained paved roads, and 117.29 miles of state highways totaling 802.88 miles we serve.

Rehabilitation Services

The Rehabilitation Services Department is a diverse and progressive area of the facility providing inpatient acute and sub-acute care, outpatient services and nursing home care.

We provide quality Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy and Massage Therapy. We have specialized programs including Sports Medicine and Lymphedema Management. Our Community Outreach Program includes such activities as participating in Career Day at local schools, Health Fairs, Diabetic Education and Body Mechanics In-services.

We are proud to be an approved clinical affiliation site for the Physical Therapy and Physical Therapist Assistant schools in Georgia. The work experience will serve as an excellent opportunity for a new graduate or a seasoned therapist to develop and perfect a wide variety of skills. The work environment is energetic and fast paced with each therapist setting his/her own schedule. Our team approach involves a close working relationship with all disciplines including nursing and medical staff.
