Birthing Center/Obstetrical Services

 

• Washington County Regional Medical Center Birthing Center has 3 Labor - Delivery - Recovery - Postpartum rooms (LDRP). These rooms provide plenty of space for you and your baby.  Having LDRPs allow you to stay in the same room during your stay.
• C-section room. Our c-section room is just a few steps from your LDRP room, so you can get the care you and your baby need all without leaving the Labor and Delivery unit.
• Expert, compassionate nursing staff. Our nursing staff is well trained and compassionate. They are certified in fetal heart monitoring, neonatal resuscitation and S.T.A.B.L.E.  
• Education: We offer Childbirth Classes, which includes the stages of labor, breathing techniques, relaxation techniques, newborn care, breastfeeding, a tour of the birthing rooms.  Please contact Nicole McClarin RN for the class schedule at 478-240-2071

A Birthing Center with Early Labor and three LDRP Rooms are available.

Visiting hours are 7 AM to 9 PM.
